Avoid mineral supplements if you are not 100% sure of it's proper value.

Only real educated experts know. Take raw unpasteurized superfoods and vegan food, organic food etc. instead where all these minerals, vitamins, enzymes, fats, oils and phytonutrients etc. occur naturally. If we take supplements with a long long list of minerals and it happens to be inorganic minerals or pasteurized or contaminated with inorganic heavy metals you will sooner or later risk being in deep trouble since so many of the different minerals affect the brain, not only the heavy metals but also e.g. Copper in inorganic form. In the beginning we might feel okay or even energetic, but in the long run we might ruin our health.

Take raw unpasteurized superfoods and vegan food, organic food etc. instead where all these minerals, vitamins, enzymes, fats, oils, proteins and phytonutrients etc. occur naturally and in the proper form. It is only natural if it grows on plants, bushes or trees. (Or from healthy animals or certain healthy natural mineral waters like from the Himalayas, compare Hunza Population or Zam Zam water etc.)
Pills don't grow on trees and it is not always easy to know what form of minerals a pill contains.

(The word "Natural" is unfortunately not protected in food legislation, but can mean synthetic when read on labels)

Metallic form of a mineral is the form that is toxic for toxic minerals like Lead and Cadmium. Beneficial minerals like Calcium become almost useless for the body when it is in it's metallic form. Good minerals like Calcium in metallic form can only be assimilated by the body up to around 8% -12% for children, 3% - 5% for people over 40 and perhaps only less than 1% over 50. This is the form that normally is found in mineral supplements in vitamin shops.

Pasteurization is a common form of cooking that destroys the nutrient value of minerals partly or completely.

The Video FoodMatters mentions that cooking typically only leaves 30% of the minerals and destroys all enzymes and much of other nutrients. Read about Pottengers 900 cats and try to eat always a healthy proportion of raw fresh vegetables and fruits. It could also be wise to take Selenium supplements against toxic heavy metals from e.g. tooth fillings, root fillings and vaccinations if we have had any. We avoid what we can of potentially harmful minerals but we cannot become extremists. I still accept occasionally water or drinks that is given to me made on local tap water. But I don't make it a habit. I don't accept vaccinations any longer since they often contain Mercury and  Aluminum. I never accept Amalgam as tooth filling since there is a non toxic (hopefully) ceramic alternative, and so on...
Organic form is the form of a mineral that is good for the body or at least not toxic. A toxic mineral like Lead or Cadmium becomes non-toxic in plants that are not boiled or fried. A known good mineral like Calcium becomes beneficent and can be used by the body up to around 95% independent of a person's age. Plants that are raw, fresh and certified organic from a farm that is certified organic, (sometimes many years of certification are needed), have lots of beneficial minerals. Vegetables have around 10% minerals and fruits around 5% in average. The body cannot get too much of organic minerals. It disposes of surplus organic minerals and takes up only what it needs. If we boil or deep fry plants and fruits the minerals become gradually more and more metallic and relatively useless or even in some cases toxic for the body. We should also be aware of mineral blocking foods like GMO and unfermented Soy even in organic form

Do not take this list as absolute proof. I have dug up information from near and far about the positive and negative effects of different minerals in different forms. But the information is not complete, this is just a beginning. The information is not verified by true experts. There could be errors, small or big, but I of course try to be correct. But I am not a doctor, so always ask a doctor, educated in Western medicine or ask an alternative doctor if you are sick. Don't try to heal yourself without professional help. Take the information as a base for studying more and not as an absolute proof. Also in this kind of table the information is very short and the words are not weighed on a scale as in a longer document. Take the information as a hint about what to eat, drink and what to avoid. If you eat enough of fresh raw organic organic vegetables and fruits you should not need to worry much about lack of minerals or toxic forms of minerals. If you drink and shower with water from RO systems or distillers you should not need to worry about water quality

Each and every company that sells herbs base their success on the healing properties of minerals, since herbs are very good at accumulating beneficial organic minerals. However there are of course many other healing properties in raw fresh plants and fruits, but I concentrate in this list on minerals since they are obviously very important for health. The depletion continues if only NPK like in fertilizers are added and nothing more in intensive farming. We don't need only 3 minerals, Natrium, Phosphorous and Potassium, (= NPK). but at the least over 50 minerals.

When dosages are mentioned in this column they are for adults. Children dosages are normally around 20% thereof. (Knowing this one wonders why Vaccines contain the same amount of Mercury both for Adults and Children including Babies, (in other words as if they don't care.. Ever wondered why?)).

Unfermented Soy even if it is Organic Soy can block uptake of Calcium, Copper, Iodine, Iron, Magnesium, Sulfur and Zinc.

Refined Sugar blocks Calcium, Magnesium and Chromium. It also reduces Enzymes, Protein, Biotin, Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B5 and Vitamin E. It increases need for Vitamin B12. Vitamins don't function without minerals and enzymes.

GMO in it's very nature can block uptake of even more beneficial minerals. At least that is my belief after studying material from naturalnews.com and responsibletechnology.org. Both Soy and Sugar Beets can be GMO. In USA in 2012 around 94% of all Soy is GMO

The above llist of properties of Calcium in Metallic form with red background is just my guess. It builds on information that "too much" of Calcium can cause the problems in the list. Since we probably cannot get too much of organic colloidal calcium from plants and raw not pasteurized milk from grass fed cows etc. it could be enough reason to believe that the kind of Calcium that can cause the problems in the above list is really in more metallic than organic colloidal form. However I am not an expert. We must remember that pasteurization of milk changes the properties of organic Calcium into Metallic Calcium at least to a large extent. Perhaps 70% or more. Pasteurization or cooking might also destroy all enzymes and much of important other nutrients like Vitamins, Fat, oils etc.

Many believe that low Sodium is the best. But some people suffer from low Sodium. It is more a question having a balance between Potassium and Sodium.

The amounts of Potassium generally increases with organic methods of  agriculture and decreases with pesticidal farming where artificial fertilizers are used which instead increases Sodium levels.
