Eating
too much and too quickly lots of especially refined carbohydrates alone
or together with none or too little protein makes the body defend
itself with lots of insulin against too high glucose levels.
When the Glucose levels go down because of the high amounts of Insulin
we become tired, weak and hungry for more carbohydrates within an hour
or so. The excessive sugar is transformed by the insulin to body fat.
Eat a more healthy diet and your glucose and insulin levels will stay
within a healthy range for a long time, perhaps 5-6 hours until you
naturally get hungry again, God willing. Repeated long time abuse with
a bad diet leads to that the insulin does not protect enough against
sugar and of course diabetes.
